!?SNOW?!

Yup... walked out the door this morning (a little earlier than usual), and there was white stuff floating through the air! I couldn't believe my eyes, and then I got a snowflake in one of my eyes!

It made a nice morning. A very, very cold morning, but nice none the less. It didn't stick to the ground because we haven't had a proper frost (yet), but this could be foreshadowing our winter here in Hooterville.... hmmm.... we shall see! We haven't had a good snow in a few years...

Meanwhile, I need to update the house pics! I'll just leave it at that :)

Foliage '08

Here are some pics of some fall leafiness from around our property.

The left photo was taken on 10/9/08, and the right photo was taken 10/11/08. Pretty amazing how much the leaves can change in two days!

BRISINGR!

This is a bit delayed, but "Brisingr" arrived! I have a library bound edition...ooohh, fancy! I must admit that I am already 358 pages into the book.

Paolini has written another winner. I am eager to see how he ends this one. If any of you enjoy good fantasy writing, I highly recommend the Inheritance Cycle (aka Eragon series).

Pop, I hope you can come get your book soon!

House Stuff

Well, I am over the "gas shortage", so here are the latest house pictures.
Matthew and Rogelio have started the base coat for the stucco.

Here is the aweful machine I had to assemble. It's a mixer for the stucco applications. I put it together backwards more times than I want to claim. Matthew had to keep helping, but "bada bing" it's together AND works!

It's hard to see, but here is an example of the stucco. Matthew tried it on the Well House to see if we like it... we do :)

Check out the back deck!

Solar panels...

That's about it. We are still sporatic on getting gasoline here. I saw a few stations on my way home, a line waiting while a tanker refilled a station, and I didn't stop at any even though I just dipped below a half tank.
